Anthony Marks and his Montour High School teammates were in Florida at a season-opening baseball tournament at the end of March last year when he received a call from home. He was told his father, Kenny, was on life support after complications from a blood infection. (01/26/2012)
For the past four years, every meet that the North Allegheny boys' swimming and diving team entered, the Tigers walked in knowing they had the best diver in the building. Some people may think Allderdice High School's move from the City League to the WPIAL in soccer is a big deal. Others don't see it that way. "A lot of people have been complaining about it, but I don't see why," midfielder and emerging star Jon Munian said. "We beat all of the WPIAL teams we've had to face this season, and I don't see why it'd be any different next season." (12/29/2011)
