Sushi donuts and sushi tacos on the menu at fast casual Oakland spot.
"Jamie Oliver is the person who inspired me to be a lunch lady," says Kelsey Weisgerber, who since the summer of 2011 has worked as the food service director at the Environmental Charter School at Frick Park.
She had been an art history major looking for a job at a museum while working for Big Burrito and volunteering for Slow Food. But Mr. Oliver's "Food Revolution" TV series pushed her further into food and advocacy.
The 25-year-old not only is co-presenting a breakout session at her school for One Young World delegates, but also attending as a delegate herself, as she got a scholarship to do so, and she's "thrilled."
She hopes to meet Mr. Oliver before it's all over, and hopes that maybe he'll even be able to pop in to her Saturday breakout session.
"I think it's so good that he's coming to Pittsburgh because ... Pittsburgh could use a little momentum in the school lunch world."
