This is a glorious openface sandwich that requires a knife and fork. All that is needed is a glass of iced tea.

• Slice of artisan walnut-raisin bread
  
• Ricotta cheese
  
• Thin slices of red-skinned apple
  
• Thin slices of cucumber
  
• Lemon curd
  
• Walnuts

  Alfalfa or other sprouts

Make layers starting with the first ingredient and ending with the sprouts. Makes 1 sandwich.
