Last Game: 3-0 loss at Tampa Bay Saturday.

Last Game Against The Penguins: 4-1 loss in Pittsburgh Jan. 14.

Rangers Player We Would Bet Money On Scoring: Gomez. We don't have the numbers in front of us, but we're pretty sure he's the all-time leading scorer against the Penguins among players of Hispanic descent that are from Alaska. Just a hunch.

Ex-Penguins: Michal Roszival, Jaromir Jagr, Martin Straka, Rick Kehoe, professional scout.

Useless Rangers Trivia: The Rangers and the Islanders have not made a trade since November 14, 1972 during the Islanders' inaugural season. Center Ron Stewart was sent to the Islanders in exchange for cash.

-Henrik Sedin scored two goals for the Canucks in a 3-1 win against the Coyotes.

-Canucks defenseman Willie Mitchell is tougher than a steak from Denny's.

-NHL discipline czar Colin Campbell defended the suspension he doled out to Ducks defenseman Chris Pronger.
