The website, www.JobGateway.pa.gov, went live in July 2012 for people claiming unemployment compensation to register for their work-search requirement, according to the governor's office. The website is now open to all job-seekers and to employers, who can post job openings.
The website averages 200,000 job openings, with 3,500 new postings a day, the administration said. More than 300,000 job-seekers have used the site in the past month.
The site is free for people seeking work and for employers. People who register can access features including automatic job recommendations and a dashboard for managing job applications.
