So long, Jon. Hello, John.
John Oliver will take over as guest host of Comedy Central's "The Daily Show with Jon Stewart" on Monday, June 10, while Stewart takes time off to direct his first feature film.
Scheduled guests for the British comedian's first week include Seth Rogen, Armando Iannucc, a musical performance by Mavis Staples and Fareed Zakaria.
"Don't worry, it's still going to be everything that you love about 'The Daily Show,' just without the thing that you love the most about it," quipped Oliver, a long-time correspondent for the award-winning faux news show.
Tickets for the summer tapings are available beginning today at www.thedailyshow.com/tickets. Stewart plans to be back for hosting duties Sept. 3.
Jenny from the block is headed back to "American Idol," when former judge Jennifer Lopez returns to perform on the show's two-part season finale, E! News reports.
Rumors that Lopez was in talks to perform began last week after it was reported that "Idol" producers wanted her back in a judge's seat, along with the ouster of either Mariah Carey or Nicki Minaj, the E! report said.
A rep for the vocal competition show countered, "This is just another ridiculous 'Idol' judge rumor, likely started by talks of Jennifer performing on the finale."
Lil Wayne, who suffers from epilepsy, was hospitalized for a seizure for the second time in recent months. TMZ reports that the rapper suffered a single seizure and was treated in L.A. and released Wednesday morning.
Wayne spent nearly a week in the intensive care unit at Cedars-Sinai in March after suffering multiple seizures, MTV.com said. He called L.A. radio station Power 106 and told DJ Felli Fel about his chronic condition.
"The thing is, man, the bad news is, I'm an epileptic, so I'm prone to seizures," he said. "I've had a bunch of seizures; y'all just never hear about it. This time it got real bad because I got three of 'em in a row, and ... I could've died soon. That's why it was so serious. The reason being for the seizures is just plain stress, no rest and overworking myself. That's typical me, though."
