The recipients

Dozens of Western Pennsylvania organizations have received donations from businesses to help fund scholarships or education programs. Following is a list of regional groups that benefited from the Educational Improvement Tax Credit program in fiscal 2002, ended in June.

The donors

Following is a list of businesses and organizations in Western Pennsylvania that gave $100,000 or more to a single scholarship organization in fiscal 2002, ended in June, using the Educational Improvement Tax Credit. Others chose to spread their money around or give a lesser amount. Most of the money stayed in the region; the gift to the Emsworth-based Holy Family Foundation was sent to the Holy Family's school in Ambler, Montgomery County.
