Trader Joe's is notifying its customers that it has issued a recall notice for packages of in-shell, roasted pistachios.
The store said Wednesday it was notified by its supplier that certain packages have the potential to contain salmonella.
The store says bags of the pistacios with a "best if used by" date of Oct. 27, 2016 through Nov. 4, 2016 may be contaminated. The store advises that customers also look for the following UPC codes:
■ 0007 9990 (dry roasted and unsalted pistachios)
■ 0007 9983 (dry roasted and salted pistachios)
■ 0011 1348 (50% less salt roasted and salted pistachios)
According to Trader Joe's, the nuts are packaged in 16-ounce plastic bags with the code information on the back.
The recall affects its stores nationwide.
The store says it has pulled bags of pistachios from its shelves, although it reports no illnesses have been reported.
The store asks that customers not eat the product if they have already made a purchase and return the product to the store for a full refund.
