JC Penney on Friday released its list of 138 stores that it plans to close, but none are in Western Pennsylvania.
Several in the eastern part of the state and in Ohio made the list.
About 5,000 positions nationwide will be impacted in the plan, most of which will occur in June, the company said in a statement on Friday.
The closures also include one supply chain facility in Florida and steps to relocate another supply facility in California.
Most affected stores will begin the liquidation process on April 17, the company said.
