Associations & Organizations

Greg Chambers of Oberg Industries was commissioned by Pennsylvania Gov. Tom Corbett to serve on the Pennsylvania Apprenticeship and Training Council. The Pennsylvania Apprenticeship and Training Council is made up of 11 representatives from each of the following sectors: employers, public and labor. Chambers represents apprentice and education needs of all manufacturers throughout Pennsylvania.

The Public Relations Society of America Pittsburgh Chapter named Christy Goodman, senior account executive, WordWrite Communication, as its public service committee chair.

Credit Union

Washington Community Federal Credit Union hired Connie George, mortgage specialist; Jennifer Johnson, frontline representative; Jerrica Kowcheck, digital marketing manager; Karen Roberts, manager of performance development; Tony Vincequerra, loan servicing specialist; and Brooke Yetter, frontline representative.


GAI Consultants hired Christopher Branson as a senior staffing specialist and Michael Gray as a human resources coordinator.

Ken Reddish joined Falk PLI as general manager of remote offices.


Family Hospice and Palliative Care hired Louise Farelli and Erin Vas as community liaisons.


The Embassy Suites Pittsburgh International Airport Hotel named Thomas Raymond as executive chef of the hotel, whose responsibility includes Bridges 446, the hotel's Contemporary American on-site restaurant.

Industrial Services

Harsco Corp. named F. Nicholas Grasberger, president and chief operating officer.


United States Steel Corp. said David L. Britten, who currently serves as senior vice president, tubular operations, will assume the newly created position of senior vice president and chief technology officer.

David J. Rintoul was named senior vice president, tubular business, and Geoff M. Turk was appointed vice president, transformation.


Oxford Development Co. announced that Grant Mason was named chairman of the board of the Pittsburgh Downtown Partnership.

Professional Services

James E. Garr joined Cottrill, Arbutina Wealth Management Group to head its retirement and income distribution planning group.

RGP promoted Andrew De Silva to managing director of its Pittsburgh practice.

Real Estate

The Keller Williams South Division said the following agents joined its Bethel Park office. They are James Auten, Catherine Feltovich, Jason Horr, Regis Krol, Michael Poulliott and Margie Schneider.

Awards and Honors

Kimberly Lambert Gould, of Urban Villages Inc., earned certified property manager and accredited commercial manager designations from the Institute of Real Estate Management. To merit this distinction, Ms. Gould completed rigorous class work, multiple examinations and a selective acceptance and approval process.

The American Educational Research Association selected Brian Junker as a 2014 AERA Fellow. Mr. Junker, professor of statistics and associate dean for academic affairs for the Dietrich College of Humanities and Social Sciences, Carnegie Mellon University, is one of 22 scholars honored this year for notable and sustained research achievements.
