Associations & Organizations

Regina C. Wilson, associate attorney, Goehring, Rutter & Boehm, was elected president of the Homer S. Brown Law Association. The Homer S. Brown Law Association, consisting of African-American lawyers, judges, educators and law students, aims to increase legal knowledge throughout the community and protect civil and political rights, while assisting legal students by promoting continued educational and practice development opportunities.

Michael A. Shiner, attorney, Tucker Arensberg, P.C., was appointed chairman of the bankruptcy & commercial law section of the Allegheny County Bar Association. Mr. Shiner is a shareholder in the insolvency and creditors' rights department and practices in the areas of bankruptcy, workout, insolvency and representation of creditors and other parties.

Jeffrey A. Francona was hired as a commercial banking officer for Mars National Bank.

F.N.B. Wealth Management hired Nicholas S. Bellino as managing executive and program manager for First National Investment Services Company, LLC.

Education

Tammy Hughes was appointed the inaugural Martin Hehir, C.S.Sp., chair in scholarly excellence at Duquesne University. Ms. Hughes is an associate professor of school psychology and chairs the school of education's department of counseling, psychology and special education.

Robert Morris University promoted John Michalenko to vice president for student life; Perry Roofner, vice president for facilities and Ellen Wieckowski, vice president for information technology.

Energy

Barry Kukovich joined Peoples Natural Gas Co. as manager, communications and community affairs.

Engineering

Borton-Lawson hire d Shah Haque as a senior electrical engineer, facilities business unit.

Ronald Butcher joined Civil & Environmental Consultants, Inc. as the corporate geographic information systems manager.

Logistics

Manufacturing

Koppers Holdings Inc. appointed Leroy M. Ball as vice president and chief financial officer, effective September 1, 2010. Mr. Ball will replace Brian H. McCurrie, who was appointed senior vice president, global carbon materials and chemicals.

Tom Henson joined Industrial Scientific Corp. as director of product management, marketing and knowledge.
