Tiffany DuMont, pulmonologist and critical care medicine specialist, and Ahmad AlhajHusain, M.D., a board-certified pulmonologist, have joined Allegheny Health Network. Dr. DuMont is a board-certified internal medicine and pulmonary physician with fellowship training in pulmonology and critical care medicine. Dr. AlhajHusain offers patients medical care for pulmonary disease, asthma, COPD, emphysema and pulmonary fibrosis.
Juliann Haynes-Held joined Tucker Arensberg. She concentrates her practice on bankruptcy, insolvency and creditors’ rights law representing clients in commercial transactions, restructuring and bankruptcy matters.

Awards and Honors
Duquesne University will present John R. McGinley Jr., with the Spiritus Award at its President’s Scholarship Dinner on Thursday at the Omni William Penn Hotel. Mr. McGinley is the second recipient of the award, which recognizes individuals, couples and organizations for exceptional philanthropic service to Duquesne University and its students. Mr. McGinley established an endowment in 2012 to support public service fellowships for students in Duquesne University’s School of Law.
The Homeless Children’s Education Fund honored Erik Garrett, associate professor of communication and rhetorical studies in Duquesne’s McAnulty College and Graduate School of Liberal Arts, received The Joseph Lagana Volunteer Award at the HCEF’s 17th annual Champions for Children Gala in March. This award honors members of the Pittsburgh community who have gone above and beyond to improve the lives of an estimated 2,900 children and youth experiencing homelessness and poverty in Allegheny County.
Paul Lebovitz, gastroenterologist, Allegheny Health Network, was honored for his volunteer service and for providing excellent patient care by the Crohn’s & Colitis Foundation of America. Dr. Lebovitz, who serves as vice chair of the Department of Medicine for AHN, was given The Rosenthal Award for Patient Support and Care at the Crohn’s & Colitis Foundation’s annual dinner on March 3 in Dallas. The award is presented to a volunteer who demonstrates uncommon leadership and has contributed in an indisputable way to the quality of life of patients and families through patient service, professional education or advocacy activities.
Jorgen Pedersen, founder, RE2 Robotics, was named Carnegie Science Start-up Entrepreneur Award Winner for 2016.
Cheryl Begandy, the Pittsburgh Supercomputing Center’s director of education, outreach and training, received the 2016 YWCA Women Leadership Award for Science & Technology. Awards will be presented at the 34th Annual Tribute to Women Leadership Awards Luncheon on May 26.
