Chatham fills women's entrepreneurship post

Chatham University has hired Rebecca U. Harris as the director of its Center for Women's Entrepreneurship.

According to an announcement from Chatham, Ms. Harris has more than 20 years of experience as an entrepreneur, consultant and marketing specialist. Prior to joining the university, she was president of Harris Consulting in Toledo, Ohio. She holds an MBA in marketing from The Fox School of Business at Temple University and a bachelor of science in communication studies from Northwestern University.

"I can't think of a better platform than Chatham University to continue my commitment to educate and create economic opportunities for students and women entrepreneurs," Ms. Harris said in a statement.

The Center for Women's Entrepreneurship at Chatham University was established in 2005 to provide greater support for women entrepreneurs in the Pittsburgh region.
