PPG Industries said it has an agreement to purchase Masterwork, a paint distributor with 13 stores in Pennsylvania, Ohio and New York.

Financial terms of the deal were not disclosed.

Founded in Pittsburgh in 1939, Masterwork carries PPG brands and sells paints to do-it-yourself consumers as well as commercial contractors.

Most of the company's approximately 80 employees are expected to continue working for PPG when the sale closes, a PPG spokesman said.

The stores will become part of PPG's network of company-owned stores which totals around 950 in the U.S., Canada and Puerto Rico.
