Route 51 lane closures possible this week

Utility work may cause lane closures on inbound Route 51 this week, PennDOT announced.

The restrictions are possible between Stewart Avenue and Maytide Street in Overbrook from 9 a.m. to 3 p.m. daily through Friday.

Also, overnight full closures are scheduled this week on Route 51 between Worthington Avenue and Peters Creek Road in Jefferson Hills during replacement of a railroad crossing.

The road will close at 7 p.m. daily through Friday, with traffic detoured via Lebanon Church Road, Clairton Road, North State Street, the Clairton-Glassport Bridge, Lincoln Boulevard and McKeesport Road. The road will reopen by 7 a.m. daily.
