An 8-inch water main broke in Bethel Park late this afternoon, leaving about 25 customers without service, a Pennsylvania American Water spokesman Gary Lobaugh said.

Service is expected to be restored by 1 a.m. Saturday, Mr. Lobaugh said.

The break at Aljean Drive and Anray Circle damaged two homes, he said, and a disaster restoration service is en route to perform an audit.
