If you were hoping to spent Labor Day in the sun, you might need to get out of town.
National Weather Service meteorologist Lee Hendricks said the weather forecast for this weekend is gloomy: cloudy skies, sticky humidity, rain and more rain.
Today, the forecast calls for clouds and scattered showers, with a 50 percent chance of showers and thunderstorms this afternoon. In the evening, the chance of thunderstorms drops to 40 percent and the temperature to the high 60's.
The forecast for Sunday and Monday is virtually identical. On Monday, when hundreds are expected to take to city streets for the Labor Day Parade, the chance of rain is 60 percent.
Fortunately, none of the weather is expected to be severe enough to cause flooding.
