A dog was shot in the leg and was euthanized this week as a result of the injuries, according a report issued today by state police in Indiana County.

Stacy Reed of Blairsville told police that two dogs ran away from her residence. One dog was found lying on the side of the road and taken to a veterinarian who found the dog had been shot and a bullet was in a front leg. The owners were told the front leg would have to be amputated and the dog may never walk again. A decision was made to euthanize the dog.
