T.J. McConnell will not be transferring to Pitt or Robert Morris as part of his release agreement with Duquesne, according to his father, Tim McConnell.
"We just decided that those are two schools we would not pursue, just because of local rivalries," Tim McConnell said. "We don't think it would be a good idea to leave, and come back and play Duquesne on a yearly basis. We will look into some schools, but we will not look into Pitt or Robert Morris."
Duquesne Athletic Director Greg Amodio said he would not talk about specifics right now when asked where Duquesne will send McConnell's release: "I'd just be throwing darts right now."
He did indicate he and the family have set a timeline for the process and will be meeting again.
