Penn State senior guard Stefen Wisniewski, Pitt offensive tackle Jason Pinkston and Pitt defensive end Greg Romeus have been named to the preliminary watch list for the Lombardi Award.

A first team All-Big Ten Conference center last season, he moved to guard this spring. It is the same position the Central Catholic High School graduate played his first two seasons.

Wisniewski is among 12 players from the Big Ten who are candidates for the Lombardi Award, which is limited to down linemen and those defensive players who line up within 5 yards of the football.

Pinkston, who is entering his third season at Pitt, was selected first team All-Big East and garnered second-team All-America accolades as a junior. Romeus was a finalist for the 2009 Ted Hendricks Defensive End of the Year Award.
