The mother of two Pittsburgh Faison students was arrested today after she allegedly confronted another child and struck her in the face.
The mother, Artiella Bennett, 28, of Homewood was charged with aggravated assault, defiant trespass and possession of a weapon, mace, on school grounds, according to school officials.
According to school officials, an incident occurred last evening between families in the community. This morning, the mom brought her two younger children to Faison as well as an older daughter, a sixth-grader. In the office of Pittsburgh Faison Primary, the mom threatened to have the older daughter beat up a fourth-grader who had allegedly come to their home last evening.
While being escorted by school staff, the parent saw the fourth-grader on the phone to her mother, confronted the student and struck her in the face.
