In this version, the evil stepsisters abuse the attractive Angelina. But she is a knockout at the ball, thanks to a bracelet and some helpful wisdom. She meets a prince, and love, beauty and forgiveness color her destiny. The story will be sung in Italian, with English translation projected above the stage.

It's at 8 p.m. April 27 and May 3, 7 p.m. April 30 and 2 p.m. May 5 at the Benedum Center, Downtown. Tickets available at www.pittsburghopera.org or 412-456-6666.
