Chelsey Green and The Green Project present original works and arrangements of popular music at the Kelly Strayhorn Theater, 5941 Penn Ave., East Liberty. Ms. Green is a classically trained violinist and violist, but the show offers a blend of R&B, pop, soul, jazz, hip-hop and other genres. Reel Q screens “The Stories of Our Lives” at Alphabet City, 40 W. North Ave., North Side, at 7 p.m. This 2014 film, an anthology of five short films dramatizing true stories of LGBT life in Kenya, was created by members of The Nest Collective, a Nairobi-based arts collective.The screening, co-presented with Black Pride, is part of Reel Stories, the international LGBT film series. She’s best known as one of the stars of the 2001 film “Queens of Comedy” along with Mo’Nique, Adele Givens and Laura Hayes.
