Grammy-winning singer Dianne Reeves will headline the fourth annual Pittsburgh JazzLive International Festival, presented June 20-22 on three outdoors stages Downtown by The Pittsburgh Cultural Trust.
The free festival also will feature trumpeter Sean Jones with Dwayne Dolphin and Fred Wesley; A Tribute to Art Blakey performed by The Messenger Legacy (Ralph Peterson, Bobby Watson, Brian Lynch, Billy Pierce, Donald Brown, and Reggie Workman); and Grammy-winning ensemble Snarky Puppy; plus, Nancy Harms, Thomas Wendt, Joe Locke, harpist Brandee Younger, Raul Midón, Gregory Porter, Benny Benack III and Emmet Cohen.
Ms. Reeves, a vocalist from Detroit, last won a Grammy for the soundtrack to the film “Good Night, and Good Luck,” in 2005. She was part of the Manchester Craftsmen’s Guild’s 2012 series.

“During this festival we celebrate some of the world’s most important jazz musicians and an art form that has merged several cultures into one distinct style,” Janis Burley Wilson, vice president of Education and Community Engagement and director of Jazz Programs for the Pittsburgh Cultural Trust, said in a statement. “We are thrilled to host Grammy-Award winners, emerging talent, and local favorites in the heart of Pittsburgh’s Downtown Cultural District.”
It will begin with a Jazz Crawl in the Cultural District from 5:30 to 9 p.m. on June 20. Big Sam’s Funky Nation performs June 21 at the Rex Theater on the South Side. Jam Sessions at locations throughout the Cultural District begin at 10 p.m. June 21 and June 22.
2014’s Showcase Noir marks the 11th year for this African American Designer Market that includes pottery, paintings, jewelry, fiber works, and sculptures available for sale by some of the world’s finest artists.
A special pop-up vinyl record store, Trust Vinyl, coordinated by Pittsburgh local DJ Malls, will be located at Ninth Street and Liberty Avenue.
