Ms. Parker, best known for her TV roles in “Weeds,” “Angels in America” and the film “Fried Green Tomatoes,” will have a conversation with WESA-FM’s Josh Raulerson. Ms. Parker’s book, “Dear Mr. You,” renders the singular arc of a woman’s life through letters she composes to the men, real and hypothetical, who have informed the person she is today. A documentary about the old Pittsburgh Post-Gazette presses by award-winning Pittsburgh filmmaker Ken Love will premiere at 1 and 1:45 p.m. at Carnegie Library of Pittsburgh, Oakland. Mr. Love used technologically innovative 3-D equipment to make the documentary, and it will be shown on special 3-D Rembrandt TVs that provide the visual effect without the use of special glasses. Photographs of the now shuttered pressroom by Post-Gazette photo editor Jim Mendenhall also will be displayed.
