Pianist Rudolf Buchbinder has canceled performances with the Pittsburgh Symphony Orchestra this weekend due to acute bronchitis, the orchestra announced today.

Mr. Buchbinder was slated to play Richard Strauss’s “Burleske” with the PSO in the final concert of its 2013-14 classical subscription season. The orchestra will instead perform Strauss’s “Don Juan” as part of an all-Strauss concert celebrating the composer’s 150th birthday.

The concerts take place 8 p.m. Friday and Saturday and 2:30 p.m. Sunday at Heinz Hall.
