Internships

The Post-Gazette newsroom has two internship programs for college-age candidates. The first is a paid 13-week full-time program that puts selected students to work writing, editing or producing visual content for the newspaper and/or Web site. To be considered, applicants must have completed at least two years of college and must provide samples of journalistic work, preferably from a previous internship, as well as three references. Application deadline is Jan. 1 for internships beginning the following summer.

The second program is an unpaid internship geared to students who currently are enrolled in colleges in the Pittsburgh area. These interns work up to 22 1/2 hours a week per semester and receive academic credit from their institutions for their time in the newsroom.
