WPXI anchor Peggy Finnegan will host "Dateline Pittsburgh: The Fight Against Cancer" at 7:30 p.m. Saturday on WPXI. It will repeat at 8:30 p.m. Sunday on PCNC.The 30-minute program will examine Pittsburgh's leadership in the battle against cancer and why researchers are hopeful about dealing with the disease.

In addition to talking with experts from Allegheny General Hospital and the University of Pittsburgh Cancer Institute, WPXI will interview a woman taking a new drug for her non-Hodgkin's lymphoma. Finnegan has been open about her family history of cancer, her diagnosis of very early breast cancer in 1994, subse- quent surgery and recovery.
