The Steelers, who have not made the playoffs the past three seasons, will appear on prime time television in three games this season.
They will play once on Monday Night Football on ABC and twice on ESPN on Sunday night, including their first regular season game in their new stadium against Cleveland on Sept. 16.
Tennessee, another AFC Central Division opponent, will play on Monday night, Oct. 29 here. They did not have a Monday night game last season for the first time since 1989. The Steelers also will play the defending Super Bowl champion Ravens in Baltimore on Sunday night, Dec. 16.
The Steelers open the regular season Sept. 9 at 1 p.m. at Jacksonville. They will play two exhibition games in their new stadium, Aug. 25 against Detroit at 1 p.m. and Aug. 30 against Buffalo at 7:30 p.m.
Their game against Detroit will mark the first time the Steelers and Pirates will play on the same day at home since before Three Rivers Stadium was built in 1970. The Pirates play Houston that night at neighboring PNC Park.
For the second straight year, the Steelers will have their open date early in the season. They will play two games before they have off the weekend of Sept. 23. Last season, their open date came in the second week.
