Penn State's off-the-field problems just won't go away.
Coach Joe Paterno said on his weekly radio show tonight that two starters --- defensive end Maurice Evans and tackle Abe Koroma --- as well as backup tight end Andrew Quarless will not play in Saturday's game against Oregon State because of their alleged involvement in an incident Tuesday night at the Nittany Apartments.
Paterno said a fourth player, cornerback A.J. Wallace, was not involved in the incident and will be available to play against the Beavers.
University police responded to a call for loud noise Tuesday. The search warrant lists Quarless, Wallace, Koroma and Evans as residents.
Police seized a small amount of marijuana from the apartment, but police spokesman Bill Moerschbacher said it could be two more weeks before anyone is charged or issued a citation.
In an unelated matter, Paterno said backup cornerback Willie Harriott has been kicked off the team, but he did not give a reason.
