Penn State Q&A with Ron Musselman

Penn State Q&A with Ron Musselman

Q: Ron, tell me more about Aaron Maybin? He has been been having a great season at defensive end.

Jeff, Port Matilda

Musselman: Maybin has been one of the biggest surprises on the team. He began the season as Maurice Evans' backup and now he may be better than Evans. Maybin, from Maryland, has nine sacks and 12.5 tackles for losses through seven games, ranking him No. 1 in the nation in both categories. Maybin needs four more sacks to pass Gaines' total of 12 1/2 last year and 6 1/2 more to break the single-season school record of 15, which is held by Larry Kubin and Michael Haynes.
