Update 10:07 a.m.: The Pirates passed during the major league portion of the Rule 5 draft. As of yet they have not lost a player either.

Update 10:12 a.m.: The major league portion of the Rule 5 draft has concluded and the Pirates did not select, or lose, a player.

Now we're taking a five-minute break before the minor league portion, apparently because those 15 picks in 11 minutes of the major league portion were just too exhasuting for all involved and we can't possibly soldier on.

Update 10:24 a.m.: The Pirates selected Ethan Hollingsworth, a 25-year-old right-hander, from the Royals organization. Hollingsworth made 34 appearances, eight starts, in 2012 split between Class AA and Class AAA. He struck out 66 in 1022/3 innings and was hittable, allowing 11 hits per nine innings and posting a 1.51 WHIP.

They also lost Elevys Gonzalez to the Dodgers. Gonzalez, 23, hit .206/.306/.331 between Bradenton and Altoona this year.
