-The Wilkes-Barre/Scranton Penguins signed forwards Ty Loney and Adam Krause <a target="_blank" href="http://timesleader.com/news/penguins-sports/153960584/Son-of-former-Pittsburgh-Penguins-signs-with-WBS">to one-year AHL contracts</a>. Loney is the son of former Pittsburgh Penguins forward Troy Loney.

-Happy 28th birthday to current Penguins goaltender <a target="_blank" href="http://www.hockey-reference.com/players/z/zatkoje01.html">Jeff Zatkoff</a> (<em>above</em>). A free agent signing in the 2012 offseason, Zatkoff has spent parts of the past two seasons with the Penguins. Making his NHL debut with the Penguins during 2013-14, he played in 20 games and had a 12-6-2 record with a 2.61 goals against average, a .912 save percentage and one shutout. This past season, Zatkoff appeared in only one game, had a 0-1-0 record, a 1.62 goals against average and a .941 save percentage. In 21 career games with the Penguins, Zatkoff has an 18-12-7 record, a .258 goals against average, a .913 save percentage and one shutout.
