DUNEDIN, Fla. — The intrigue is on the mound for the Pirates today. Chad Kuhl will make his first spring start against a Blue Jays lineup featuring Jose Bautista and Kevin Pillar, but not much else in the way of threats. Two players with recent Tommy John surgeries, Nick Kingham and Clay Holmes, will also pitch.
Jacob Stallings will catch today’s game. Neither Francisco Cervelli (foot) or Chris Stewart have played in spring game yet. David Freese is back in the lineup after a healthy scratch Sunday. No Adam Frazier, who has a sore left thumb.
