Clint Hurdle sent two lineup cards over to the Nationals clubhouse to see if Max Scherzer wanted more memorabilia from his no-hitter, but Scherzer said, “I’ve got a whole bunch of stuff,” so he sent the cards back signed, and Hurdle will put them up for charity.
As for the Pirates offense?
"There's no hangover here," Hurdle said.
Neil Walker is available off the bench today after missing four games with abdominal discomfort. He wouldn’t have started today anyway, as a lefty, Gio Gonzalez, is on the mound.
Asked if he wanted to stump for any potential All-Stars, Hurdle gave the following names: Andrew McCutchen, Starling Marte, Tony Watson, Mark Melancon, A.J. Burnett, Gerrit Cole and Francisco Cervelli.
