Pittsburgh garbage collection to be delayed due to storm

Garbage collection in Pittsburgh is being postponed Friday due to the expected winter storm and icy conditions, the city announced Thursday.

The collection scheduled for Friday will occur on Monday. That will push back next week’s pickups by a day so that Monday’s scheduled collection will be done on Tuesday, Tuesday’s on Wednesday, and so on, with the last collection taking place Dec. 31.
