On the parkways

East -- Work to improve bridge-pavement transitions continues with the following lane restrictions:

Inbound -- Single-lane traffic from Edgewood-Swissvale through the Squirrel Hill Tunnel from 8 p.m. Thursday to 5 a.m. Friday; single-lane traffic in area of bridge over Brady Street (under the Birmingham Bridge) from 9 p.m. Friday through 1 p.m. Saturday; two-lane traffic with one lane closed at the bridge over Bates Street-Oakland interchange (Exit 73) from 7 to 10 p.m. Friday. At 10 p.m. two lanes closed overnight through 9 a.m. Saturday, when two lanes reopened through 5 p.m. Saturday; single-lane traffic approaching Squirrel Hill Tunnel in area of bridge over Commercial Street from 9 p.m. Friday through 1 p.m. Saturday.

Outbound -- Single-lane traffic at the bridge over Bates Street-Oakland interchange from midnight Friday through 10 a.m. Saturday, then two lanes open with one closed through 6 p.m. Saturday; single-lane traffic from the city side (west) entrance of the Squirrel Hill Tunnel through the tunnel to area of bridge over Commercial Street from midnight Friday to 4 a.m. Saturday.

North -- Lane closures in both directions between Camp Horne Road (Exit 8) and Interstate 79 from 7 p.m. Wednesday to 7 a.m. Thursday for replacement of pavement markings.

West -- Inbound restricted to one lane at Carnegie interchange from 6 a.m. to noon Saturday for bridge inspection.

On the interstates

70, Washington County -- Single-lane traffic possible nightly after 7 p.m. Mondays through Thursdays at Route 519 junction in Eighty Four through early June.

79 -- Intermittent lane closures for guide rail repairs from 7 a.m. to 1 p.m. Saturday, northbound between Mount Nebo Road (Exit 68) and Wexford (Exit 73) and southbound between Carnegie (Exit 57) and Bridgeville (Exit 54).

Interstate 79, Franklin Park to Glenfield -- Short-term closures of left lane possible from 9 a.m. to 3 p.m. Thursday from I-279 (Exit 72) to Route 65 (Exit 66) during repair of median guide rail.

79, Kennedy, Robinson -- Southbound traffic restricted to single lane from 7 p.m. Friday to 6 a.m. Monday May 9 from Neville Island Bridge (Exit 64) to Crafton/Route 60 (Exit 60), weather permitting, for repaving. No northbound restriction.

79, Marshall -- Traffic stoppages of up to 15 minutes possible between Freeport Road overpass and Cranberry (Exit 76) from 7 a.m. to 8 a.m. Sunday May 8 for placement of overhead fiber optic cable. One of three lanes closed in both directions in area of bridge over Mingo Road; 15-foot wide single lane restriction on the ramp from northbound I-79 to Cranberry, through mid-August. Restrictions also in place on Mingo and Warrendale-Bayne roads.

79, Mercer County -- Delays possible during ramp paving at Greenville-Sandy Lake (Exit 130); round-the-clock lane closures southbound between mile 124 and 118 and northbound between mile 120 and 122; daylight lane closures in both directions between mile 127 and 133; daylight lane closures in both directions at I-80.

79, Washington County-- Construction under way at Meadow Lands interchange, with on- and off-ramps closed and new traffic patterns in effect including lane closures at night. Manifold Road and Pike Street-Locust Avenue closed in work zone.

376, Beaver County-- Repaving project on 18 miles from the Allegheny County line to Chippewa (Exit 31). Traffic restricted to one lane in each direction weekdays from 6 a.m. to 6 p.m. in three-mile segments. Some weekend work possible. Single-lane traffic in both directions between the Brighton Road (Exit 36) and Anchortown Road overpasses through early November as part of project to repair or rehab seven bridges on 15.7-mile stretch of I-376.

579, Downtown -- Lane closures between the Liberty Bridge and Forbes Avenue possible from 8 p.m. Friday to 6 a.m. Saturday, then on weeknights for the next two weeks and throughout the weekend of May 20-23 for installation of sheeting on an overhead ramp. Westbound Centre Avenue from Washington Place to Sixth Avenue closed through June 30 for work on bridge over I-579 Crosstown Boulevard. Ramps from northbound I-579 to Seventh Avenue and from Seventh to southbound I-579 closed at 8 p.m. weeknights through following morning until early October.

In the city

Andy Warhol Bridge, Downtown -- Closed at 9 a.m. Monday for deck and steel repairs. One sidewalk open from 7 a.m. to 4 p.m. weekdays, both sidewalks open after 4 p.m. weekdays and all day on weekends. Closure to continue through May 27.

Bates Street, Oakland -- Restricted to one narrow lane in both directions between Second Avenue and Parkway East off-ramp from 7 a.m. Friday through Sept. 2 for work on Eliza Furnace Trail bridge.

Beechwood Boulevard, Alger Street, Greenfield -- Northern Alger Street side of center traffic island closed and eastern Beechwood and southern Alger sides reduced to one lane from 7 a.m. Monday May 9 for about two weeks during site preparation for Greenfield Neighborhood Portal reconstruction project.

Birmingham Bridge -- Lane closures as needed from 9 a.m. to 3 p.m. weekdays through May 13 during inspection and cleaning.

East Carson Street, South Side -- Short-term lane closures possible at 15th Street weekdays from 8 a.m. to 4 p.m. through Friday during gas main work. Intermittent lane closures possible between 20th Street and 22nd Street weekdays from 9 a.m. to 4 p.m. through early September for pedestrian improvements.

Ellsworth Avenue, Shadyside -- Closed from Spahr Street to Lamont Place starting May 9 and continuing through late November for construction of pedestrian bridge.

Liberty Tunnels -- Closed overnight starting at 10 p.m. Sundays through Thursdays through late July, reopening daily by 6 a.m.

Penn Circle, East Liberty -- Traffic restrictions and lane closures on portions of Penn Circle South, Penn Avenue, Penn Circle East and Broad Street through mid-May during paving. Intersections will be closed to through traffic on a short term, temporary basis. Access to businesses and garages maintained. Bus stops may be temporarily relocated.

Rachel Carson Bridge, Downtown -- Right lane closures in either direction, along with adjacent sidewalk, from 9 a.m. to 3 p.m. weekdays through May 9.

Route 19, Beechview and Brookline -- Single-lane traffic in both directions as reconstruction continues in various zones between Wenzell and Pioneer avenues through November.

Route 28, North Side, Millvale -- Southbound traffic may be stopped up to five minutes at a time at work zone during concrete deliveries from 7 a.m. to 9 a.m. weekdays through early June. At other times, two lanes open southbound, one lane northbound through construction zone; no access to or from 31st Street Bridge; no northbound access to 40th Street Bridge; Rialto Street intersection closed. Major project to continue into 2014.

Route 51, Carrick -- Bridge on Colerain Street between Nobles Lane and Route 51 closed. Northbound Route 51 traffic headed for Whited Street detoured, as is southbound Route 51 traffic bound for Colerain, which is closed, and Nobles Lane, where left turns are prohibited, into June.

Route 65, North Side -- Northbound ramps from Route 65 and Chateau Street to northbound Marshall Avenue closed until late June for reconstruction. Single lane closures in the area of the California Avenue ramp overpass from 9 a.m. to 3 p.m. weekdays through Friday.

Route 885, Hays -- Single-lane traffic in both directions at bridge over Glass Run Road through December.

Wood Street, Downtown --Streetscape project at Point Park University has closed sidewalk and curb lane on west side between Fort Pitt Boulevard and First Avenue.

East

Business Route 22, Monroeville -- Right lane closed eastbound through June 30 in area under outbound Parkway East.

Route 22, Monroeville -- Westbound lane and shoulder closures will occur as needed from 9 a.m. to 3 p.m. weekdays May 9 through June 9 between Old William Penn Highway and Elliott Road during installation of message board and traffic monitoring camera.

Route 22, Westmoreland County -- Traffic restricted to one lane in each direction on rebuilt westbound side between Auction Barn Road and the Indiana County line with 40 mph work zone speed limit. Project completion scheduled for late July.

Mosside Boulevard, Monroeville -- Restricted to one lane in each direction and shifted to northbound side between Business Route 22 and Holiday Lane from 8 p.m. to 6 a.m. weeknights through early June.

Route 48, North Versailles, Wall -- Short-term lane closures possible from 9 a.m. to 3 p.m. weekdays starting Friday through May 20 near Ross Street Extension between Signal Hill Drive and Wall Avenue for drilling for future repair project.

Westinghouse Bridge -- Short-term single lane closures in both directions possible from 9 a.m. to 3 p.m. May 9-13 during bridge cleaning.

William Penn Highway, Churchill-- Single-lane traffic in both directions between Route 130 (Beulah Road) and the ramp to the inbound Parkway East/Old Gate Road through early August when slide repairs are completed.

North

Kendall Avenue, Bellevue -- Intermittent closures between Washington Avenue and Route 65 through 3 p.m. May 20 for street repairs. Work will proceed in four phases: between Washington Avenue and Davis Avenue; Davis Avenue and Crawford Avenue; Crawford Avenue and Watson Avenue; Cedar Avenue and Route 65.

Route 8, Hampton, Shaler -- Lane restrictions in place at the following times on 4 miles between Butler Plank and Wildwood roads: 9 a.m. to 3 p.m. Mondays through Fridays, 7 p.m. Sundays through Thursdays until 5 a.m. the next day; and 8 p.m. Fridays to 10 a.m. Saturdays. Completion scheduled for August.

Route 8, Richland -- Lane closures in both directions during major reconstruction will start Monday between Route 910 and the Butler County line. Closures to occur at 7 p.m. Sundays through Thursdays until 5 a.m. the next day; 8 p.m. Fridays to 8 a.m. Saturdays; and 8 p.m. Saturdays to 10 a.m. Sundays, through mid-November.

Route 19, Pine and McCandless -- Single-lane traffic in both directions in Wexford Flats area between Old Perry Highway and Brooktree Road through November.

Route 28, Etna -- One northbound lane closed, weather permitting, from 8 p.m. Friday through approximately 10 p.m. Saturday for concrete replacement not completed last fall because of early cold weather.

Route 65, Ben Avon -- Lane closures possible in both directions at bridge over Spruce Run between Dickson and Division avenues from 9 a.m. to 3 p.m. Friday, Monday and Tuesday (May 9-10) during inspection.

Route 65, Emsworth -- Single-lane traffic at Lowries Run Bridge through fall.

Route 65, Glenfield -- Single-lane traffic in both directions in area of I-79 interchange starting at 6 p.m. Monday through Wednesday and concluding by 9 a.m. the following days.

South

Amity Street, Homestead -- Entrance to The Waterfront complex to close at East Sixth Avenue from 9 a.m. Monday May 9 to 9 p.m. Friday May 13 for improvements at railroad crossings.

Boston Bridge -- Alternating one-way traffic possible daily from 9 a.m. to 3 p.m. through May 31. Weekend closures and full closure will occur later in the construction season.

Clairton-Glassport Bridge -- Traffic limited to single 11-foot wide lane in each direction through late October.

East Carson Street, Baldwin Borough-- To be closed between Becks Run Road and the Glenwood Bridge around-the-clock from approximately 6 a.m. May 15 through May 23 for repair of damaged culvert.

Glass Run Road, Baldwin Borough -- Closed from Joseph Street to Cathell Road through mid-May for water line work.

McLaughlin Run Road, Bridgeville -- Closed to thru traffic between Maple Street and Ridge Road through late September for bridge replacement.

McMurray Road, Bethel Park and Upper St. Clair -- Alternating one-way traffic between Route 19 and Hays Road during replacement of gas lines from 9 a.m. to 3 p.m. daily through November, with the hours expanded to 8 a.m. to 4 p.m. after schools close for the summer.

Route 19, Washington County -- Single-lane traffic at bridge over Route 519 in North Strabane until late fall.

Route 51, Rostraver -- Lane restrictions at bridge over I-70 at various times between 8 p.m. and 7 a.m. Sunday evenings through Friday mornings. Lane closures also possible on I-70. No work between 7 a.m. Fridays and 8 p.m. Sundays. Project will continue into October.

Route 148, North Versailles, East McKeesport -- Single-lane traffic in both directions from just south of Westinghouse Avenue to Route 30 through June 3 for major reconstruction and bridge replacement project that eventually will extend to Hartman Street in McKeesport.

West

Ewing Road, Stowe -- Alternating one-way traffic possible between Route 51 and Marino Lane from 7 a.m. to 3 p.m. weekdays through May 13 during slide repairs.

Greentree Road, Green Tree -- Single-lane restrictions possible in both directions on bridge over Parkway West overnight on Mondays through Thursdays starting at 8 p.m. and from 8 p.m. Fridays through 6 a.m. Mondays through June 13.

Kelso Road, North Fayette -- Closed at Route 22 for bridge replacement expected to be completed this summer.

Montour Church Road, North Fayette -- Bridge over Route 22/30 at the Tonidale interchange closed through late September for replacement.

Rochester Roundabout, Beaver County -- Long-term detours and other restrictions for construction of five-point traffic roundabout. Brighton Avenue open with traffic restricted to a single 11-foot wide lane in each direction; westbound Route 68 and southbound Route 18 detoured using Brighton Avenue to West Madison Street across the Bridgewater-Rochester Bridge, turning left onto Market Street back to Route 68, crossing back over the Beaver-Rochester Bridge to Route 18; eastbound Route 68 and northbound Route 18 detoured using Massachusetts Avenue or West Washington Street to Brighton Avenue back to Route 68/18, through late July.

Route 22, North Fayette-- Lane closures in area of Tonidale interchange as needed from 9 a.m. to 3 p.m. weekdays through September. Saturday restrictions may also occur if needed from 7 a.m. to 3 p.m. Westbound restricted to a single lane detoured using the on- and off-ramps from 10 p.m. to 6 a.m. Monday through Wednesday. Traffic stoppages of up to 15 minutes possible near the Bayer Road/Steubenville Pike off-ramp from 10 p.m. Wednesday through 6 a.m. Thursday.
