Fort Pitt Bridge, 10th Street Bypass -- Inbound ramp to the 10th Street Bypass closed 9 a.m. to 3 p.m. Monday through Thursday.

Intermittent single-lane closures on the 10th Street Bypass between Commonwealth Place and the on-ramp to the Fort Duquesne Bridge from 9 a.m. to 3 p.m. Monday through Thursday.

Interstate 79 -- Neville Island Bridge work canceled for the weekend. Two lanes open in each direction, one closed. Work resumes Monday with single-lane traffic overnight.

Single-lane traffic northbound in the area of the bridge over the Pennsylvania Turnpike from 7 p.m. to 6 a.m. daily, through Monday night, and from 7 a.m. to 6 p.m. tomorrow. Single-lane traffic southbound in the same area around-the-clock until 6 a.m. Monday.

Parkway East -- Single-lane traffic inbound from Penn Hills to Churchill from 9 p.m. to 5 a.m. Monday through Wednesday.

Intermittent short-term single-and double-lane closures possible from 9 p.m. to 5 a.m. Monday-Thursday in both directions from the Squirrel Hill Tunnel to approximately 1.5 miles west of the tunnels.

Short-term, single-lane closures outbound daily from 9 a.m. to 3 p.m. Monday through Friday as needed in the area of the bridge that carries Jefferson Heights Road over the Parkway East between Penn Hills and Plum. Two outbound lanes will remain open.

Intermittent short-term single-and double-lane closures possible outbound from 9 p.m. to 5 a.m. Monday through Friday nights from Forbes Avenue to the Pennsylvania Turnpike.

Parkway North -- Weekend lane restrictions canceled between I-79 and Bellevue-West View.

Single-lane traffic in that area will resume nightly starting Monday, with restrictions from 7 p.m. to 7 a.m. northbound and 6 p.m. to 5 a.m. southbound through Friday morning. Single lane traffic also in effect on northbound I-79 from two miles south of the Parkway North interchange to 2,000 feet past the merge from 7 p.m. Monday to 7 a.m. Tuesday and from 10 a.m. to 2 p.m. Tuesday.

Route 28, Shaler, Etna, Millvale -- Ramp from southbound Route 8 to northbound Route 28 will be closed daily from 9 a.m. to 3 p.m. Tuesday through Saturday. Northbound Route 28 also closed during those times. Detour via 62nd Street Bridge, Butler Street and Highland Park Bridge.

Single-lane traffic on northbound Route 28 from Exit 4 in Etna to Exit 5A Sharpsburg from 9 a.m. to 3 p.m. on weekdays starting Tuesday through Oct. 28.

Single-lane traffic northbound between the Etna and Millvale interchanges from 7 p.m. to 5 a.m. Tuesday and Wednesday nights.

Single-lane traffic southbound from the Highland Park Bridge to the Etna interchange from 9 a.m. to 3 p.m. weekdays starting Monday through Oct. 28. Some weekend work may also occur, if necessary, from 7 a.m. to 7 p.m. Saturdays and Sundays.

Single-lane traffic southbound from Etna to Millvale from 7 p.m. to 5 a.m. Monday through Thursday.

Route 28 remains closed to northbound through traffic at Etna interchange (Exit 5A). Detour posted.

Route 65, Avalon -- One lane closed in both directions between the bridge over Dilworth Run near Wendy's and Locust Street from 9 a.m. to 3 p.m. starting Monday through mid-November during tree and roadside clearance for widening project that will start in the spring.

Steubenville Pike, Robinson -- Lane closures, changing traffic patterns and possible brief traffic stoppages between the Montour Church Road/Tonidale interchange and Park Manor Drive from 7 a.m. to 5 p.m. Monday through Wednesday during paving.

UPDATES from Thursday, Oct. 15

Parkway East -- Single-lane inbound from Penn Hills (Exit 11) to Churchill (Exit 10A) from 9 p.m. Friday to 9 a.m. Saturday.

Parkway North -- Work between I-79 and Bellevue-West View canceled this weekend. Some minor work possible Saturday if weather improves.

Pennsylvania Turnpike -- 65-mile stretch between Breezewood (Exit 161) and Carlisle (Exit 226) closed in both directions for five hours starting late Saturday to allow contractors to blast a pair of overhead bridges, in Cumberland and Huntingdon counties. Eastbound traffic diverted from 11 p.m. tomorrow at Breezewood and westbound traffic diverted at Carlisle. Cards distributed with detour route: estimated 30 minutes of travel time and 33 miles added to trip. Turnpike to reopen to one lane in each direction at 4 a.m. Sunday; full reopening by 8 a.m.

West Carson Street, West End -- Saturday lane restrictions postponed by bad weather.

UPDATES from Wednesday, Oct. 14

Interstate 79, Marshall -- Single-lane traffic northbound in the area of the bridge over the Pennsylvania Turnpike from 7 p.m. to 6 a.m. daily, through Monday night. Single-lane traffic southbound in the same area from 6 p.m. Friday around-the-clock until 6 a.m. Monday.

Liberty Bridge, Downtown -- One lane closed inbound from 9 a.m. to 2 p.m. Thursday.

Parkway East, Oakland -- One lane closed inbound between Bates Street and the Birmingham Bridge from 7 a.m. to noon Saturday during bridge inspection.

Ravine Street, O'Hara -- Reopened to traffic from Sharps Hill Road in O'Hara to High Street in Sharpsburg after seven months of construction to widen Route 28 bridge.

Route 28, Harrison -- Northbound on- and off-ramps at Burtner Road (Exit 15) closed from 7 a.m. Monday around-the-clock through early November.

Route 910, Indiana Township, Harmar -- Weekend westbound closure has been postponed by forecast bad weather. In future weekends, it will be closed westbound from the southbound Route 28 off-ramp to Locust Hill Road from 7 p.m. Friday through 6 a.m. Monday as crews replace concrete pavement to prepare for a larger project next year. Restrictions on several weekends through early November. Detour will be posted.

Walton Road, West Elizabeth -- Bridge over Lobbs Run between Route 837 and Scheinbach Road has reopened.

UPDATES from Tuesday, Oct. 13

Fort Pitt Tunnels -- Single-lane traffic outbound Wednesday and Thursday 10 p.m. to 5 a.m. during cleaning.

Liberty Bridge -- One lane closed inbound Wednesday from 9 a.m. to 2 p.m. during repair work.

Route 910/Wexford Bayne Road, Marshall -- Single-lane traffic westbound in the area of the bridge over Interstate 79 from 9 a.m. to 3 p.m. Wednesday and Thursday during guide rail installation.

Saw Mill Run Boulevard, West End -- Closed northbound from the Parkway West to the West End Circle from 10 p.m. Wednesday to 6 a.m. Thursday for overhead sign installation. Southbound open. Detours posted.

Arndt Road, Reis Run Road, Ross and Ohio townships -- Alternating single-lane traffic from Mount Nebo Road to Rochester Road weekdays from 8:30 a.m. to 3:30 p.m. through mid-October.

Baptist Road, Bethel Park -- Lane closures and other restrictions as needed from Route 88 to about 2,000 feet south of Hamilton Road from 8 p.m. to 5 a.m. weeknights through mid-October.

Blackburn Road, Sewickley Heights -- Closed between Hill Street and Thawmont Road until Oct. 31 due to the collapse of an additional 100 feet of retaining wall adjacent to the current work area.

Blythedale Road, Elizabeth Township -- Reduced to alternating single-lane traffic because of collapse of the northbound lane between Shaler Street and Fallen Timber Road.

Burgettstown Road, Findlay -- Bridge between Main Street and Imperial-Robinson Road closed through mid-October. Detour posted.

Cochrans Mill Road, Jefferson Hills -- Closed between Stilley Road and West Bruceton Road from 6 a.m. Monday until Feb. 1 for bridge replacement. Detour posted.

Dorrington Road, Collier -- Bridge closed over Robinson Run between Cluxton Street and Noblestown Road around the clock through April 2010. Road open to local traffic only.

East Carson Street, South Side -- South 26th Street closed between Sidney and East Carson streets. Crossover for traffic in work zone on East Carson Street shifted to the Hot Metal Bridge intersection. Right turn lane from the southbound Hot Metal Bridge onto westbound East Carson Street closed. Left lane open; right turns allowed from the left lane. Traffic will remain in this pattern through late October.

Fox Chapel Road, Powers Run Road, O'Hara, Fox Chapel -- Lane closures 9 a.m. to 3 p.m. weekdays through early November on Fox Chapel Road between Highland Road and Chapel Ridge Road and on Powers Run Road north of Yorkshire Drive during pipeline repairs.

Graham Road, Pine -- Closed between Pearce Mill Road and English Road until summer 2012 during replacement of a Pennsylvania Turnpike bridge.

Green Commons Drive, Scott -- Closed through Oct. 31 from Vanadium Road to Kane Boulevard for reconstruction.

Interstate 79 -- Southbound traffic reduced to a single lane in the area of the bridge over the Pennsylvania Turnpike each night from 7 p.m. to 6 a.m. through Friday morning.

Neville Island Bridge restricted to one lane in each direction nightly from 7 p.m. to 6 a.m. during the week, and from 8 p.m. Fridays through 6 a.m. Mondays, through late November, except no work this weekend. Two lanes open in each direction at other times.

One lane closed in both directions between Crafton and Coraopolis, with traffic stoppages up to 15 minutes possible, from 9 a.m. to 3 p.m. Mondays through Saturdays through mid-November during Forest Grove Road Bridge construction. Completion of bridge delayed by one month due to multiple factors.

Jefferson Heights Road, Penn Hills -- Bridge over Parkway West closed through end of year for rehabilitation. Detour posted.

Leech Farm Road, Lincoln-Lemington -- Closed between Highland Drive and Wiltsie Street from 7 a.m. Monday through Nov. 6 during slab replacement. Detours posted.

Liberty Bridge -- Intermittent lane closures in both directions between the bridge and Forbes Avenue 9 a.m. to 3 p.m. weekdays through Friday.

Liberty Tunnels -- Inbound tunnel closed for major rehabilitation Sundays through Thursdays from 10 p.m. to 6 a.m. through late August 2010.

Light Rail Transit -- Wood Street and Gateway Center stations closed weekends through the end of October. Gateway Center station to close for two years at the end of service at 1:21 a.m. Oct. 31.

Old Leechburg Road, Plum -- Closed to traffic between New Texas Road and Sardis Road from 7 a.m. to 5 p.m. through Wednesday, weather permitting, during paving.

Old State Road, Pine -- Closed between Whippoorwill Hill Road and Fox Hollow Lane for replacement of a Pennsylvania Turnpike bridge through mid-summer 2012. Detour posted.

McKees Rocks Bridge -- Single lane in each direction, through mid-November.

Parkway East -- Single lane traffic inbound from Penn Hills (Exit 11) to Churchill (Exit 10A) from 9 p.m. to 5 a.m. nightly through Friday morning.

Short-term single- and double-lane closures possible from 9 p.m. to 5 a.m. nightly through Saturday inbound between the Squirrel Hill Tunnel and Stanwix Street.

Short-term single lane closures outbound from 9 a.m. to 3 p.m. as needed near the bridge that carries Jefferson Heights Road over the Parkway East between Penn Hills and Plum (Exit 14). Two outbound lanes will remain open.

Parkway North -- Single-lane restrictions in both directions nightly Monday through Friday morning between Interstate 79 and Bellevue-West View (Exit 7), northbound 7 p.m. to 7 a.m., southbound 6 p.m. through 5 a.m.

Intermittent short-term single- and double-lane closures inbound from Perrysville (Exit 5) to the Veterans Bridge from 9 p.m. to 5 a.m. weeknights through Saturday during sign installation.

Parkway West -- Outbound ramp to westbound Steubenville Pike/Route 22/30 closed through late October.

Rankin Bridge -- Restricted to one lane in each direction during rehabilitation project scheduled for September 2010 completion.

Ravine Street, O'Hara -- Planned reopening pushed back to late October. Closed from Sharps Hill Road in O'Hara to High Street in Sharpsburg. Open to pedestrians when possible.

Route 8, Hampton -- Lane closures 9 a.m. to 3 p.m. and 8 p.m. to 5 a.m. between Wildwood Road and the Pennsylvania Turnpike during resurfacing through mid-November.

Routes 19/51, West End -- Southbound Route 19/51 (Saw Mill Run Boulevard), single-lane traffic from the West End to the Parkway West, 4 a.m. to 3 p.m. Monday for concrete replacement.

Route 28, Etna/Millvale -- Closed outbound at Etna interchange (Exit 5A). Detour posted.

Route 88, Castle Shannon -- Alternating single-lane traffic from Castle Shannon Boulevard to Sixth Street/Killarney Drive from 9 p.m. to 5 a.m. nightly through late October during water main relocation.

Route 910 Gibsonia Road, Indiana Township -- Alternating single-lane traffic west from Saxonburg Boulevard to near the turnpike overpass daily from 8 a.m. to 4 p.m. and nightly from 6 p.m. to 6 a.m. through mid-October.

Steubenville Pike, Robinson -- Traffic reduced to single lane in each direction between Park Manor Drive and Montour Church Road during Route 22/30/60 interchange reconfiguration. Two ramps closed until late October: outbound Parkway West ramp to westbound Steubenville Pike and westbound Steubenville Pike ramp to outbound parkway.

Thorn Run Road, Moon -- Repaving between Beaver Grade Road and Route 51 and concrete work in the intersection with Route 51 to cause alternating single-lane traffic from 8 a.m. to 4 p.m. and 7 p.m. to 6 a.m. on weekdays through mid-October.

Tri-Boro Expressway -- Expressway/Braddock Avenue closed in both directions from O'Connell Boulevard to Cable Avenue for bridge replacement. Also, East Pittsburgh-McKeesport Boulevard closed from Elder Street to the Tri-Boro Expressway. Main Street under the bridge closed from Braddock Avenue to Bessemer Avenue, all until late this year.

Union Avenue, Bellevue, Avalon, Ross -- Alternating single-lane traffic from 8:30 a.m. to 3:30 p.m. daily as needed from Means Avenue to Casper Avenue through mid-October.

Union Avenue/Route 978, Oakdale, South Fayette -- Alternating single-lane traffic between Battle Ridge Road and Noblestown Road daily as needed from 6 a.m. to 6 p.m. through mid-October for repaving.

Vanadium Road, Collier, Scott -- Limited to one-way traffic from Route 50 to Bower Hill Road from 7 a.m. to 7 p.m. Monday through Wednesday for paving. No traffic permitted to enter at Bower Hill Road. Detour posted.

Walton Road, West Elizabeth -- Bridge over Lobbs Run between Route 837 and Scheinbach Road closed through mid-October for deck replacement.

Warrendale Bayne Road, Marshall, Pine -- Alternating single-lane traffic from just west of Northgate Road to Wallace Road from 8 a.m. to 4 p.m. and from 6 p.m. to 6 a.m. through mid-October for resurfacing.

Westinghouse Bridge -- Two lanes closed, single-lane traffic maintained in each direction, until November.

Armstrong County

Route 422, East Franklin -- Long-term lane closures planned through September 2010 during rehabilitation of two bridges over Route 28.

Beaver County

Route 60 -- Single-lane traffic southbound near the Route 51/Chippewa interchange (Exit 23) around-the-clock through late November.

Butler County

Cliff Street, Butler -- Closed as part of the Route 356 Wayne Avenue Bridge project through Nov. 16. Detour on East Cunningham Street to McKean Street to East Jefferson Street (Route 68) to Main Street (Route 8) and ending back on Wayne Street.

Hartmann Road/Harmony Junction Bridge, Jackson -- Closed for reconstruction expected to continue until June 2010. Detour via Routes 68 and 19 and Little Creek and Seneca School roads.

Lardintown Road, Clinton -- Closed until mid-October between Gold Scheitter Road and the Allegheny County line for bridge deck and beam replacement and rehabilitation of the abutments. Traffic detoured.

Clearfield County

Interstate 80 -- Restricted to one lane in both directions from mile 96 to 106. Considerable delays eastbound on Sunday afternoons/evenings. (See separate listing for Mercer County.)

Fayette County

Route 119, North Union and South Union -- Northbound lanes closed from Redstone Creek Bridge to approximately 1,500 feet past the Gallatin Avenue interchange for Mon-Fayette Expressway construction through Nov. 13. Northbound traffic shifted to southbound lanes, one lane in each direction. Also, the ramp to Route 51 will be closed from 10 p.m. until 6 a.m. Monday through Friday. Detour posted.

Indiana County

Smicksburg Bridge, Smicksburg and West Mahoning -- Replacement project reduces Route 954 to one-way alternating traffic until May 2010.

Lawrence County

Route 168 -- Galilee Road Bridge closed for replacement between Wampum Road and Mill Street, North Beaver, through mid-October.

Mercer County

Interstate 80 -- Single-lane traffic possible from Ohio line to Mercer (Exit 15) except for weekends (4 p.m. Fridays until 6 a.m. Mondays). Work expected to be completed by May 2010 but will be suspended during winter.

Washington County

Charleroi-Monessen Bridge -- Closed after inspection revealed structural deficiencies.

Donora-Webster Bridge -- Closed until further notice.

Westmoreland County

Route 22, New Alexandria -- One lane in each direction for much of the nine-mile section from just east of Route 981 to the Indiana County line.

Route 30, Hempfield/North Huntingdon -- Restricted to one lane in each direction between Arona Road and West Penn Drive/Possum Hollow Road during reconstruction from 6 p.m. Sundays to 6 a.m. Fridays through June.

Route 30, Unity -- Construction from Theater Street to Route 217 from 6 p.m. to 6 a.m. nightly Sundays through Friday mornings, with lane restrictions and alternating traffic possible.
