If the township's proposed budget is approved this month, the real estate tax rate will remain at 4.33 mills.
Scott officials on Nov. 26 approved the 2014 proposed budget and tax levy ordinances for publication.
The proposed budget also includes funding for the township library.
Revenues are projected at $9,760,246 and expenses at $11,808,126. A $2,047,894 fund carryover from this year would balance the new spending plan, which will be voted on at the board's final meeting of the year at 5 p.m. Dec. 30.

In a budget-related matter, Beth Tomasevic inquired about the township's plans to repair sewer issues in her area. Properties on both sides of Bower Hill Road sustained flood damages during last summer's heavy rainstorms. Ryan Drive and Pine Trees Drive residents sustained damage, too.
Board President Tom Castello said the township does not yet have all of the information it needs on the subject. Commissioner David Jason suggested the matter should be put to a referendum vote because repairs may increase taxes by $20 a household a year.
Commissioner Bill Wells said he thought the sewer repairs should be included in the township's new budget, but Mr. Castello said officials are not ready to do that yet.
As the discussion wound down without any resolution, Ms. Tomasevic suggested Scott's insurance carrier should pay residents directly for their losses, but no one on the board responded to her suggestion.
After the meeting, Mr. Wells indicated repairing malfunctioning infrastructure is important.
"The people need some kind of security that their houses aren't going to be flooded every time it rains," Mr. Wells said, adding that he thought Scott should repair infrastructure problems before expanding parks or adding a plastic ice skating rink.
In further business, resident Todd Tulowitzki was hired by unanimous board vote as assistant code enforcement officer at a $42,000 starting salary and a one-year probation.
By a 5-4 board vote, James Briggs of Bridgeville was hired as a public works employee.
