Shooting suspect quickly captured in Homestead

Homestead police have charged a suspect in a Tuesday night bar shooting that left one man injured.

Police responded shortly after 9 p.m. to reports of a shooting at Pearl's Bar on McClure Avenue. There they found a 31-year-old man who had been shot in the leg, according to an Allegheny County Police statement. The victim was not named in police statements.

Police said Jason Harper, 32, of Homestead, was named as a suspect shortly after the shooting. Homestead police arrested Mr. Harper within 15 minutes.

Mr. Harper is awaiting arraignment on assault and gun charges at the Allegheny County Jail.
