Two men convicted in 2006 Homestead slaying

Two men were convicted of first-degree murder Monday for the 2006 slaying of a 16-year-old boy in Homestead.

Terrill Hicks, 18, of Munhall, and Raymont Walker, 18, of Homestead, were found guilty of the shooting death of Kevin Harrison on Dec. 23, 2006.

He was shot while on the front porch of his home on West 13th Avenue.

During the trial before Allegheny County Common Pleas Judge Jill E. Rangos, Mr. Hicks' defense attorney tried to argue that the state's key witness in the case was unreliable.

Kendall Dorsey, who was friends with Mr. Harrison and on the porch during the shooting, originally told police he didn't know who shot at them. However, several months later, he came forward identifying Mr. Hicks and Mr. Walker.

The men face a prison term of life without parole.
