'Most Wanted' Duquesne man apprehended in Florida

'Most Wanted' Duquesne man apprehended in Florida

A Duquesne man who has been wanted by police since April was apprehended in Florida yesterday after the Allegheny County Sheriff's Office received an anonymous e-mail tip through their "Most Wanted" Web site.

Josiah Plummer, 32, was convicted in 2006 of statutory sexual assault, corruption of minors and endangering the welfare of children. He was wanted for violating the conditions of his parole by moving to Florida without permission, according to the Sheriff's Office.

Palm Beach County Sheriff's deputies arrested Mr. Plummer at a Palm Beach County address that was provided by the anonymous tipster, said Lt. Jack Kearney of the Allegheny County Sheriff's Office.

The e-mail tip said Mr. Plummer had been seen at the address with his pregnant girlfriend, Shatika Colbert, and their two children. Ms. Colbert had been arrested in Pittsburgh in May for lying about Mr. Plummer's whereabouts. She was released in June.

Mr. Plummer will appear in court in Palm Beach County today. He is expected to be held in the Palm Beach county jail and then moved to Pittsburgh later this month.
