Elizabeth Forward board member to serve in Iraq

School board member Richard Saccone will temporarily leave his post to serve in Iraq.

Saccone has been granted a temporary leave of absence from his remaining three-year term on the board. He will leave Sunday to begin his stint as a civilian attached to the military performing counterintelligence support.

The board is expected to interview and appoint a temporary board member Jan. 5.
