Poke around in this garage and you'll learn a lot about its owner ... and about Pittsburgh. This is a functional space where things were made. The work bench is a jam of pliers, screwdrivers, carpentry tools, manuals, wire, glue and dozens of other items necessary in every garage. It has an order that's perhaps understood only by its owner. Nearby you'll find electric motors, lumber, paint, a hand-made jack, a hard hat that hints at the city's labor heritage. You'll also find pieces of the region's colorful and quirky history -- a bra that was one of hundreds hung from the ceiling of Chiodo's Tavern in Homestead (it was obtained when items from the bar were auctioned), and an Iron City Beer bottle that is one of the last emptied in that famous watering hole when it closed in 2005.
