McCandless council is expected to vote Aug. 22 on a request to revise the plan for Forest Oaks of Wexford to allow construction of an additional six-unit building.
A public hearing on the request was held July 25.
Builder and developer Frank Zokaites of McCandless told council, "We have a good, healthy community [at Forest Oaks of Wexford]."
He said that since it was established in 2004, the development has experienced few re-sales and no foreclosures.
The planned residential development now has 211 units, and is not to be confused with the nearby Forest Oaks neighborhood.
The zoning committee will review the request Monday.
On July 25, council adopted a resolution recognizing Terri Sabina for her 31 years of service to the McCandless-Franklin Park Ambulance Authority. As liaison to the authority, council member Cynthia Potter presented the resolution to Mrs. Sabina for "her constant service and many contributions."
Mrs. Sabina, who is retiring, also received a citation from the state Rep. Mike Turzai.
