Lane closed on southbound I-79 in Butler County

Lane closed on southbound I-79 in Butler County

The passing lane on southbound Interstate 79 has been closed near U.S. Route 422 in Butler County.

The lane restriction is a precaution after an oversized vehicle struck a support beam while traveling underneath on Route 422.

PennDOT bridge inspectors are on the scene and will do an inspection to determine what repairs are needed, spokesman Shawn Houck said.
