Letter to the editor: Others support resolving traffic issue in Richland

Letter to the editor: Others support resolving traffic issue in Richland

I am writing in reference to "Richland tackles traffic woes," which was published Feb. 26.

Although accurate in describing the current traffic problems and the efforts of state Rep. Mike Turzai, R-Bradford Woods, to improve the situation, the article failed to mention the strong support of other local legislators on Richland's and other North Hills projects. They include U.S. Rep. Melissa Hart, R-Bradford Woods; state Sen. Jane Orie, R-McCandless, and U.S. Sen. Rick Santorum, R-Pa. Representatives from Allegheny County Executive Don Onorato's office have also helped to promote the projects.

The broad and unified support of the entire state and federal delegation demonstrates the regional importance of addressing local traffic problems.
