The Target store being built at North Hills Village mall in Ross is expected to open in October.
The store will employ about 275 people, said Fred Reitano, vice president and director of new business for J.J. Gumberg, which owns North Hills Village on McKnight Road.
The Target is being built on the site previously occupied by Burlington Coat Factory, which moved a few doors away in the shopping center.
The Ross Target is set to open on the heels of the Target being built at Mount Nebo Pointe in Ohio Township. Other Target stores in the north suburbs are in Pine Creek shopping center on McKnight Road in McCandless, on Route 228 in Cranberry and in Butler.
Ross commissioners in June approved the plan for the Target at North Hills Village, and work has been going on at the site for about five months. Bridges Co., of Pittsburgh, is building the 125,000-square-foot store.
Target officials could not be reached for comment.
