Butler driver dies in head-on collision on Rt. 68

A Butler man died in a crash yesterday when the pickup he was driving crossed into opposing traffic and struck a flatbed truck head-on.

Glen Harold Cobbett, 37, was traveling east on Route 68 in Forward, Butler County, at 1:40 p.m. when his truck crossed into the westbound lane for an unknown reason, striking the flatbed. He was pronounced dead at the scene.

The driver of the flatbed, William J. Vandyke, of Harrisville, was uninjured.
