The Riverview School District canceled classes for Monday because of an unspecified threat. The district posted the announcement on its web and Facebook pages just after 9 p.m. Sunday.
The message reads:
“This is a message from the Riverview School District.
“Please be advised that there will be no school for students and staff on Monday, October 28th, 2019.
“This decision was made in an effort to be proactive and to err on the side of caution as we work with local authorities to investigate a rumored threat.
“Additional information will be shared when it becomes available.
“Thank you for your understanding.
“Riverview High School (Pennsylvania)”
No further details of the threat were immediately made available.
